First-page preview of the SOP to Training Readiness package, showing the workflow and role responsibilities
Inside the package: a readiness review, training handoff, performance record and verification guidance.

The starting point

Before asking someone to follow a procedure, check whether the instructions explain the work clearly enough to teach, perform and verify.

One package.
A complete working sequence.

For supervisors, trainers, procedure owners and quality teams preparing a new or revised SOP—or reviewing a task that is performed inconsistently.

01 / INTRODUCTION

Start with clear responsibilities

Set the scope and distinguish the procedure owner, trainer or assessor, and independent work authorizer.

02 / CHECKLIST

Review SOP readiness

Check 12 practical requirements against the approved source and actual work conditions. Record gaps, owners and recheck decisions.

03 / WORKSHEET

Prepare the training handoff

Define prerequisites, observable results, stop conditions, assessment conditions and the evidence to retain.

04 / OBSERVATION RECORD

Document demonstrated performance

Record coaching, missed or unobserved steps, teach-back responses and the decision for the assessed scope.

05 / FICTIONAL EXAMPLE

See a labeling exercise worked through

An entirely invented desk exercise with empty bags and TRAINING ONLY tokens shows how vague instructions become visible performance criteria.

06 / IMPLEMENTATION

Plan verification and closure

Define a later check of routine work and records. Keep immediate containment separate from the evidence needed to close an action.

Using the resource

Begin with one bounded task.

  1. Review the current approved procedure alongside someone who knows the actual work.
  2. Resolve gaps before training, then agree on what the learner must show or explain.
  3. Demonstrate, allow practice and record observed performance—including assistance.
  4. Plan a later verification of routine use and retained records.

Keep the decisions distinct.

Attendance, demonstrated competence and authorization to work independently are different decisions. The package gives each a clear place in the handoff and observation record.

Make readiness—and remaining gaps—visible.
